The Diving Officer has chosen a week of the best tides, longest slacks, bluest water, best viz and warmest weather for the EAB11 annual dive week.

This is THE major event of the EAB11 diving year (even more major than the other major event) and consisting of a whole weeks worth of diving the various wrecks of the North Sea (two dives a day when tides permit) from Sat 11th to Sat 18th July and culminating in a chance to eat, drink and be merry at the Summer Barbeque on Saturday 18th July.

Come and dive with real men and women in the North Sea. This will put hairs on your chest (don't worry immac will get them off).

This is the sort of diving other clubs just dream about. You could see seals, chase lobsters and catch crabs or other diseases.

And the whole week will culminate in a Barbeque hosted by Ady and Sally at their ranch in Gimmingham. Camping over if you like.

Make sure you get your names down now asap and dont be disappointed. A flottilla of ribs awaits you to take you diving on the sought after wrecks of the Norfolk coast.

Forget the Red Sea and the expensive Euro. Come to Costa Sea Palling. - its trendy to holiday at home this year!

Just to let you know.........

......The 2010 Anglian Divers Ball is booked for

SATURDAY THE 6TH OF MARCH 2010.

So make sure you keep that date free.

It will be held at DUNSTON HALL

The bar will be open from 7PM TILL 2AM !!! (ooh my head)

there will be good food,
entertainment,
music,
dancing.

The Tickets will be..................SMALLER !

Many thanks to everyone who came to the 45th ish Anglian Divers Ball at the Oaklands Hotel on Saturday. I hope you had a good time and a good hangover the next day. hangover

(Actually I have since found out it was probably the 55th ish Ball but who's counting apart from me?). I have heard quite a few people had a good time. It was good to see so many people attend. And money was raised for club funds.

It was a cosy affair with the Hotel sqeezing in an extra 13 people at short notice, so thanks to them too. There were no food fights and no-one dancing on the tables. (please try harder next year).

Special thanks to everyone who helped whether it was by selling tickets, bringing guests, buying me a drink, donating raffle prizes, phone calls, printing, flowers, general time and effort or just by turning up and getting piddled. It was a triumph of teamwork from the committe and club members of EAB11 and especially Val Broomhead angel who jumped in to help out with the final arrangements.

There are a few things which need to be ironed out for next year i.e. PA system, dance floor too small, DJ a bit iffy, bar extension, should Richard Mann wear a toupe toupe, blah blah blah. So if anyone has any feedback I will be happy to hear it.

Keep your eyes out for the Norfolk Magazine in two months time to see if you've made it into the Norwich Social Elite Society.

And watch this space (this one ) for upcoming events. bbq Possibly something at Sea palling in the Summer sea palling to coincide with Dive Week boat but details to be finalised.
