Several club members are volunteer divers with Seasearch, a Marine Conservation Society project which seeks to collect information on the habitats and creatures that inhabit them.
Photographs taken during recreational dives and habitat information provide crucial data on the state of our coastal waters. This data has been instrumental in the designation of the Cromer Shoals Chalk Beds Marine Conservation zone
Seasearch divers also discovered a new species of purple sponge, unique to Norfolk.
Why not help conserve the environment you love, whilst enjoying your dive. To join take a look at the local Seasearch East Facebook page.
