The Norfolk coastline is littered with all manner of wrecksites, many of these dating back to the era of sail and pre-steam propulsion. For the most part the majority of the existing and distinguishable wrecksites are those of the 19th and 20th century. Norfolk Wreck Research (NWR) was set up in 2018 by Paul Hennessey, a diver of over 35 years with qualifications ranging from BSAC Advanced Diver to TDI Advanced Trimix. The intention of NWR is to investigate and consolidate all of its findings and research into a one user friendly database featuring many of the wrecks along the Norfolk coastline.
